Lucky's Pet Supply

This month’s spotlight focuses on Chrystina Bernard of Lucky’s Pet Supply.  This pet lover has worked in the retail pet business in BC before opening her own store.  She believes in supporting other local businesses and offers one-of-a-kind products.

If you were to give advice to a budding entrepreneur, what would you tell them?

If I were to give advice to a budding entrepreneur, I would tell them that it's ok to feel a little overwhelmed.  And, if they want something bad enough, anything is possible!  Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

What has been the biggest highlight since you opened your business?

I have a few highlights since opening my business - one would be that I get to help familiar customers find what they need on a more personal level.  Lots of pets have health issues that require a specialized diet and I enjoy helping people help their pets.  I also get to pair up with other talented locals who make pet products and we support each other and our community by keeping it local.  The last would be that I get to wake up every morning and come to a job that I love!
